InnerSelf's Daily Inspiration
February 17, 2025
This is Marie T. Russell, publisher of InnerSelf.com wishing you a day of choosing your mindsets (today and every day). People will say they got up on the wrong side of the bed, or someone upset them and ruined their day. But holding on to that mindset is a choice we make. We can also choose to let that moment be in the past, so we can live our present moment with a new attitude and a new mindset: one where we choose to experience gratitude and joy at the miracles of life.
The focus for today is:
i choose my mindsets, and
I choose them with great intention.
Today's message is inspired by the book: Ready to Win, written by Matthew Mitchell:
At the most fundamental level, mindsets are the habits we use when thinking about and processing our lives. They are the habits we have ingrained in our brains, and they can help anyone become a person of character and preparation.
People who get fixed in certain unhealthy mindsets miss this incredibly crucial fact: we are not stuck permanently with our mindsets. We can choose our mindsets, and we should choose them with great intention.
Please do not misunderstand what I am saying. I am not claiming that just by saying you choose a new mindset, the change will be accomplished instantly. But it starts with the choice, and everything can change when you make that choice and then sincerely commit to backing up that choice.
